ffOptik® is our high-performance software package for designing free-form optics.
ffOptik® lets you design free-form lenses and reflectors for an arbitrary distribution of light on a target.
This applies to lighting streets or buildings just as well as to illuminating tiny spaces such as for scanning devices, touch switches or head-up displays.
Whether your problem is a homogeneous light distribution or the highly irregular distribution of your company logo - ffOptik® is the tool of choice.
ffOptik® is not a simulation program, instead it finds an exact solution by solving a differential equation whose result is a unique optical free-form surface.
A single optical surface can either guarantee a desired distribution of light on a target or a desired distribution of the direction of rays in the target.
With two simultaneously calculated free-form surfaces both, amount of light and ray direction in the target can be determined.

ffOptik Introduction Tutorial
A video tutorial to get started with ffOptik®.
This is based on ffTOP, the predecessor of ffOptik®. We'll update this soon.
ffOptik can be licensed on a yearly basis. Alternatively we offer a perpetual license.
We also offer consulting for projects. From street lighting, headlights and surgical lighting to architectural lighting
and aircraft interior lighting our optic designers have successfully guided companies worldwide to bring their products to series production.
